Huh? Women don’t Ask?!

I had recently read an article on ZacJohnson.com about how women are AFRAID to ask for what they want?! The Blogger was commenting on a new book for women by women called “Women Don’t Ask”. They also backed up there argument with statistics and decided to write a book on how women should ask so that they can get what they want. I am considering buying it, although I really don’t think I need to.

The BIGGEST statistic that got me though was:

- 2.5 times more women than men say they fear negotiation.

Now I find that statistic to be somewhat inaccurate because I know, this being 2008 women are far from fearless when it comes to Business or Money. Plus, you have to realize there are A LOT of Online WAHM Businesses that negotiate and network with other WAHMs so that both parties can get what they want. A WAHM by the way, is a Work At Home Mom.

I also negotiate on a daily basis at work with my co-workers, supervisors and customers. Because heck, I LOVE NEGOTIATING! My biggest deal yet was getting a Promotion.

If you are a woman and you are afraid to negotiate then remember, you want to live with no regrets so get out there and make some waves.
