Well, my FREE Laptop I got for FREE in September 2007, the day after my Surgery (I was on Disability for a month) is now trying to take its last breaths…but my Goal is to revive it and let it live again. Honestly, being an (Internet) Entreprenuer and NOT having a PC or Laptop is NOT A GOOD THING! :( . Right now I have a piece of tape holding the cord against the laptop so it won’t die. For all you techie’s out there its a Toshiba Satellite A135-S4656, with Windows VISTA (I hate Vista) and I am not sure how I feel about Toshiba. My First PC Desktop was a Dell. I am trying to type carefully, not sure when I will be able to post again.

So here are my Options:

1) One Year Limited Standard Warranty - First call their 800 number to troubleshoot and if that does not work then ship it back (at my expense) and see if they can repair it. It would take probably about a month before I would receive it again. A MONTH! My Warranty is still good. Cost: Shipping and Handling, Taxes, things like that.

2) Geek Squad at Best Buy - Basically have Geek Squad repair the Pin or see if its the Power cord. I also live literally right next door to a Best Buy with a Geek Squad. Cost: $100-$300.

3) Purchase a New Laptop - I do like Dell and would be possibly able to get Rewards for it if I decided to get a new one. I had always wanted a Pink Laptop anyway because its my favorite color and my DS LITE is Pink also.  I originally was going get a Pink cover for the laptop but my daughter decided to cover it with her favorite stickers. So I thought it was a lot better  design. ;) Cost: $500-$700.

I am very sad about my Laptop. I depend a lot on it. :( Well, I will see what would be the best and fastest way possible to get this resolved.

I am thinking about going for Option #2. I have only had this laptop for six months, too early to get a new one and I don’t trust the Warranty. What do you think?
