I had owned a car since I was 23 years old, I didn’t get my drivers license until later in life (obviously) and since I have always had a good driving record, I felt at the time, until recently that auto insurance is useless. That was until I discovered the wonderful add-ons with car insurance like home owners insurance. I rent an apartment and it’s a requirement to have home owners insurance, for only a couple of dollars extra a month I now have the service and it keeps my property secure also in case of sort of damage or fire to occur. Another great add-on with car insurance is road side assistance, a lot of people I think perceive the idea that only Triple AAA would only have that kind of protection but in reality most car insurance companies have the service available also. What I learned from my auto insurance company (before I switched) is it is important to make sure you have enough coverage for such things as body injury liability, property damage, physical damage, collision, uninsured and underinsured motorist etc…at the time I didn’t have enough coverage for that type of damage so I upped it and now I feel fully secure.
