I think telemarketing is a great way to build your business. Telemarketing gets your business in front of your target audience to buy your products or services. My experience with telemarketing is that it is a numbers game and you only want to contact those that are interested in your product or service or that had optin into a list interested in buying or product or service. Not everyone is going to want your product or service, that is why it is important to have a huge list ready of ‘leads’ that had an initial interest and contact those. Cold calling can be done but it is easier to work with a warmer list.
The best way to build your list of ready made warm list is to hold a raffle to win a prize at a fair or craft show with your products or services and have little cards that you add their name , phone number and address or if you are doing business online you should make sure to obtain a lead capture page where the potential customer can fill in their information such as name, email and phone number. Then contact those people on your list immediately after to see if they are interested in more information.
