I found this cute blog on people who smile.
I was also ask to participate because supposedly I have a nice smile
The Blogger seeks out people daily who can show a picture of their smile and tell the story behind it. Not only does the Blogger allow you to submit your story and smile but you can also add your links. Plus if you want to advertise you can for $25 a month for a 125×125 banner. I am considering it.
Personally I think with all the sadness and horrible things going on in the world we can all appreciate a good smile or a happy person.
I personally do not watch the news anymore so its refreshing to see a site like this.

3Wow!
“Personally I think with all the sadness and horrible things going on in the world we can all appreciate a good smile or a happy person”
I can’t agree more with your statement there, it is very depressing to watch/read the news as it thrives on negativity/violence and has a real effect on a person’s attitude/outlook. I’ve been there done that and still consider myself a news junkie (mostly yahoo headlines) but should consider cutting myself off somewhat. But at the same time, I find it insulting that a lot of people do not keep up on local/world events and political issues but still have the nerve to cast votes for incompetent public officials they know nothing about. Ok I better stop before I start a political battle on here that will never end! Smiling is something I think I need to do more of, and yes it is hard to do when things never seem to go your way or a person is exposed to an inferior environment (negativity of the news, etc..) A recent video clip I saw compared US citizens to the danes (Denmark) and showed that they live a much simpler life and do not try to “overdo” or overexert themselves to fit in or try so hard to become someone they’re not (as many Americans do). A psychologist/professor that specialized in happiness said that by writing down 5 things that you are grateful for every night before bed gives you a better outlook on life and makes you appreciate life a lot more. I think I’ll give that a try as well.

4Hi there Jackie, I just came across your blog via the review on Sly’s blog. I like what you have going on. I stopped by Terence’s blog a few days ago and I really like what he has on it. Just looking at all the pics on the blog can brighten up someone’s day. I will be back to visit.

7I find the idea of the blog great!
I considered already about a similar idea. And I think the blog has effect when you look daily means if you go there to get your daily dose of smile consciousnessly because I think we are so dull that we go through the world without recognizing the presents like smiles.
I don’t look the news too. As you said they are negative. Why wasting my time with it?
I started a blog about smiling but it’s just in the beginning.
I hope more people will discover the power of a smile.
Smiles to you,
Mira
