Admittingly, I love giving away stuff, its fun and people like to get stuff for free, so its basically a win-win for me. Plus, I think having a blog contest is a great way to get new readers and link backs on your blog.

I like to spread my contest out to about one contest every two weeks. So when my new contest ends, I already have another one in the works of being promoted.

Giveaway something Unique. My first contest, I gave away Jerky, right now I am giving away two Free Movie Tickets for Valentine’s.

Get your Contest noticed. My Jerky contest, I took the harder route on getting entries but the Valentine’s contest I got a little bit smarter and submitted my blog contest to contest blogs and then they found me, which made things a lot easier for getting contest entries.

Add your contest as a feature on your side bar. I got this idea from another blog. I think its a great way to get attention to your blog contest.
