I was very sad to hear that Michael Jackson died, first through my partner who was unsure of his death and then through my mom, then for confirmation the radio. My eyes had teared up a little because well, someone who I had grew up with listening to and watching is no longer living. It was about 4:30 pm on Tuesday, June 23rd 2009.

I thought I would share some of the interesting things that happened after his death was shared.

Such as the death of Michael Jackson was first learned about on the Web at the TMZ.com website. There were a million twitters about the speculation that was dead or had learned he was dead. I imagine around that time though that no one was really sure because there was no confirmation from the hospital. But Twitter because of the heavy traffic was down. Here is the article:

Another one of the big things that happened is as an Entrepreneur and Superstar, his sales after his death SKYROCKETED! Like the King’s I guess you could say. I guess you could say that he, like the King was a very powerful Entertainer. Since Michael Jackson was THE King of Pop and Elvis Presley was THE King of Rock and Roll.

Okay, I have decided that their is a new breed of Entrepreneur called the Baby Making Machines until I can come out with a better name . Because we have the normal famous entrepreneurs such as models, actresses, dancers, singers, sports stars, then we have the reality stars, then we have the internet stars that are all entrepreneurs - meaning they all have book deals, going on tours, doing spin-off or special programs etc…

The normal breed accidentally has multiples and is given free stuff to help support their growing family, in the recent years though of the growing popularity of multiples they are now doing reality shows, book deals and tours for these types of families to share their life with the media. This new breed of birth of multiples of a new type of business to become rich and famous.

The famous breeds are Jon and Kate Plus 8, The Duggars (18 and Counting) and most recently Octomom (which has come to be my favorite Sick huh?)

Jon and Kate have been in the lime light ever since Kate knew she was pregnant with multiples. Now Jon and Kate are having marital issues. Rumor has it, Kate doesn’t want to give up the spot light but Jon does. They have one set of twins and one set of sextuplets. The media is eating up the drama right now. Rumor right now is that they are separated. Speculation both are cheating. They have 3 books, Kate has been doing book tours and they have their reality show on TLC.

The Duggars have been having kids for a long time because God wants them to and of an unfortunate miscarriage. They have 18 kids. No drama. Recent news is son married and his wife is pregnant. Having 18 kids makes it so that the older children have to help care for the younger children. They almost lost a child in one episode. Scary if you ask me. They also have a reality show on TLC.

Now Octomom! She is a Single Mom with 14 kids! She saw this money train a mile away! She recently bought a $500k house in Habra CA, has her own reality show in the works and recently trademarked “Octomom” and will sell children’s clothing. She is a single mom by choice.

Some say these children are being exploited, which I cannot argue with. Will their be more multiple breeds of baby making machines? We will never know.

Okay, I know its been a while since I had last blogged. But I have been busy working on this one project that I just cannot seem to get to work! So, I decided to back away from the project for a bit and when I feel like it I will go back to it. Sometimes when you are working on something the best thing you can do is just….walk away. Either for a minute, months, years or forever. I am just going to temporary walk away. Because I really don’t like to give up on things, especially when it comes to business and I really want this one to work!

So, I am working on something new, something I had succeeded at before and know I will succeed at again. :)Now that that is underway, that is what I will be doing.

I also wanted to share two great posts from two successful online marketers.

First one I came across was from Tony Rush . The blog was called The Paradox that Keeps People Stuck . It just kind of hit home with me because of what I am doing and what I have been working on. The secon is from Steve Weber and his blog was called Paychecks and the Rat Race . So take a look, they are both worth reading.

I also wanted to say how powerful social networking sites are. If it weren’t for social networking, I would have not come across some of the deals I came across. Like the BIG KFC/Oprah deal. I just thought that was crazy how word of mouth spread. That is just one example. Social Networking is a great tool.

Everyone always needs exposure for their business. We all want everyone to know what we do and what we offer so that they know who to come to for their needs. That is why it is important to get the word out as effective and efficiently as possible.

So here are 5 Ways to increase your Exposure:

1. Write a Press Release. Write about how YOUR Business is going to help the ECONOMY and what product or service you offer that will do that or a new product that you have that will help. That is one way to take a problem and show how your business can provide a solution for it.

2. Join the top Social Media websites. Make a lot of business contacts and truly get to know the people you add on your friend’s list. Touch base with them at least once every two weeks and make sure they know what you do in case they need you in the future.

3. Give away something for Free and Valuable. Such as an Report or incentive such as a Vacation.

4. Have a Gimmick. Like Perez Hilton, he blogs about celebrity trash and is the most hated blog in the world. What do you do? What do you have to offer that would excite people to know more about you?

5. Make a YouTube video using your gimmick and providing something for free. Be sure to include your web address at the bottom of your video.

Well, after I hadn’t been around for a while updating my business blog, I figured I needed something to jump start my business blogging. So, since I am avid reader of Problogger, I decided to join his 31 Day Challenge to a better blog. The first challenge is simple enough, your elevator pitch.
